Your love story will outlast the test of time.

Let us tell yours.

At Sequoia Films, we strive to tell your story in a timeless, elegant fashion. We create films to be experienced over and over, to be shared with those you love for generations to come. Blending narrative storytelling with breathtaking cinematic sequences, your wedding film will be a time capsule, transporting you back to the most important moments of your story. A forever-proof glimpse into the first day of the rest of your life.

While we do employ a little bit of movie magic to make your film perfect, it is far from wizardry. We employ techniques learned from years of wedding filmmaking, documentary work and two lifetimes of telling stories. Learn more about the folks who make Sequoia Films special, and some of the specifics of the filmmaking process that might make you curious to know more.

The faces behind Sequoia Films

Meet the team that brings your story to life.

  • Founder

I found myself with a camera in my hands after sneaking the family camcorder out of my father’s dresser drawer. I would create comedy sketches and “premiere” them for my (very patient) family. This planted the seed for what would become my lifelong passion, showcasing the stories we as people seek to tell. My professional career began with wedding films. The intimacy and ephemeral nature of these moments are what make them such a joy to capture. I hope to encapsulate the emotions of your day, and create a lasting memory to be shared with generations of your growing family.

  • Head Cinematographer

I bring the same passion to filmmaking as I do to the kitchen. I am an avid home chef, regularly whipping up homemade meals for myself and my better half, Sydney. I worked as a sound technician before finding my home behind the camera at Sequoia.

  • Editor / Social Media Management

Some of my favorite things are my baby pup Benji, warm summer walks on the beach in Watch Hill, RI, and spending evenings in with my love, Nick.

Frequent Inquiries

  • In short, a full day’s coverage documents every important phase of your wedding day from start to finish. We don’t like to curtail your film’s impact by working within a limited timeframe. A full day of coverage is a minimum of 8 hours of video capture, beginning with the getting ready process of each partner, and ending with your closing festivities. This gives our team ample opportunity to tell your story in its entirety.

  • We only shoot with two people to ensure no moment is missed. With two shooters, we can have one person work with each partner while they get ready, assist in the setup process for your ceremony, and monitor crucial details like audio and lighting that are difficult to perfect with a single shooter. It ties back to our overarching goal to capture your day in its entirety, without any corners cut.

  • Our team takes roughly 6-8 weeks to perfect your wedding video. We do offer expedited turnaround services if you are interested in seeing your film as soon as possible.

The Sequoia Difference

In a quantity-over-quality world, we choose the latter.

Our team creates no more than 40 wedding films in a given year. Sounds like a lot? For an independent filmmaker, this is a monumental task. But in the New England area alone, over 31,000 weddings take place each year! For a team of our size, shooting a maximum of 40 wedding films allows us to fully invest in YOUR film, compensate our artists fairly, and keep the entire creative process between you and us. We don’t assign inexperienced artists to cover one of your most important days. We don’t ship our footage to massive organizations to edit the same thing over and over. We don’t concern ourself with exponential growth, optimizing profit margins, or standardizing the process to make our jobs as filmmakers easier. We pour our heart and soul into every film we produce, and are proud to say your film is one of few.
